The situations facing men entering childcare today are reminiscent of the situations faced when men entered nursing about 20 years ago. The stereotyping incidents have made it difficult for many more to join this critical sector as a way of giving back to the community. Instead, men prefer it as a second-chance job after a stint of unemployment. Despite these changing attitudes amongst the men in the US, the UAE has a very different picture.
